A Passion for Creating and Fixing
Since I was young, I’ve had a passion for creating and fixing anything I could get my hands on. This drive led me to a career in construction, which I began in 1997. From 2004 to 2018, I operated a home remodeling business where I specialized in residential and commercial additions, renovations, design, maintenance, and project management. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of how homes and buildings function—inside and out.
In 2016, I shifted my focus to mold remediation and inspections, becoming certified that same year. Mold presents serious risks to both health and property, and it’s been my mission to help families and businesses maintain safe, healthy environments.
Dutch’s Mold Inspections was started by my father-in-law, and I’m proud to continue the business with the same values and strong work ethic he instilled in me. With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, I’m building on his legacy, providing the highest standard of mold inspection and remediation services to North Ridgeville, Ohio, and surrounding areas.
As a husband and father of two, family always comes first. This value extends to the way I run my business—treating every home as if it were my own. Dutch's Mold Inspection & Mold Remediation Services represents almost five decades of experience in the Cleveland area building, inspection and mold removal industries. After starting out in the home inspection service in the 1970's and learning more about the health hazards and risks of poor quality indoor air, mold and other toxins, Dutch's Home Inspections became specialists in mold testing and mold remediation services including proper attic ventilation and basement flooding clean-up (non-emergency). We have since gained substantial experience in clean-up and sanitizing homes of hoarders and distressed properties and also provide commercial mold remediation services including mold sanitizing, clean-up, inspections and mold removal for commercial buildings.
Rick Nesselhauf, founder of Dutch's Mold Inspections and Remediation Services completes over 30 hours of continuing education classes each year to keep up-to-date with new equipment, technology and protocols in the fields of mold detection, mold removal and indoor air quality. Rick has eight certifications in Indoor Air Quality, Mold, Allergens and Mold Remediation and is a HUD approved Contractor for Mold Remediation and Mold Inspections. Still active in the business, Rick is available for inspection and testing appointments to help you make your home safe again.
